Investigating the complex relationship between the birth control pill and women’s liberation, The Business of Birth Control reveals the dark side of hormonal contraception. Exposing the shocking history of how racism, gender bias and pharmaceutical influence obscured the risks of birth control and its effects on the mind and body, the film shows how a new generation is embracing body literacy and a reawakened feminist health movement that is demanding reproductive justice.
